The TWIN-LOOP project attended the TRA Conference with the poster “An overview of European research initiatives for Software-Defined Vehicles” presented by Eric Armengaud (Armengaud Innovate GmbH), representing CODE4EV, in collaboration with fellow SDV projects.
This poster presents an overview of key European SDV programmes, focusing on their main objectives, expected benefits for the research, development and innovation (R&D&I) community, and their complementarity.
Held biennially, TRA Conference provides a key platform for dialogue aimed at shaping the future of mobility in Europe. The event spans all transport modes—road, rail, maritime, and air—and addresses the full spectrum of mobility, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, advanced materials, and innovative technologies.
It brings together leading experts from academia, industry, policymaking, and civil society. The European Commission plays an active role in both the programme and the exhibition, underlining the strong connection between research, innovation, and European transport policies.
The 2026 edition was held at Hungexpo in Budapest, Hungary, under the theme “ReGeneration in Transport”, exploring how innovation can foster a greener and more inclusive future.
The conference has also provide an opportunity to highlight how the concept of the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) is emerging, integrating advanced software engineering methodologies into vehicle development and shifting value delivery toward the customer throughout the entire vehicle lifecycle. 🚗⚙️
