Use Case 3:

Cybersecure and Resilient EV Architecture

As EVs become more connected and software-driven, they are increasingly vulnerable to cyberattacks such as hacking, malware, and data breaches. These threats can compromise safety, vehicle functionality, and user privacy. On a larger scale, coordinated attacks could affect charging patterns and even disrupt the power grid.

Approach

TWIN-LOOP is developing an advanced cybersecurity simulation framework for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), using tools like CARLA to simulate attacks and test countermeasures in realistic environments.
The focus is on reinforcing vehicle resilience and data protection, especially during vulnerable periods such as charging.

Expected Outcomes

A validated, robust cybersecurity framework that protects EV systems and user data, strengthening trust in connected vehicle technologies.
